Everton 3-1 Wigan Athletic

Phil Jagielka was among the scorers as Everton beat Wigan Athletic at Goodison Park.

Substitutes Apostolos Vellios and Royston Drenthe also netted late goals to secure Everton's first home victory of the season.

Franco di Santo's deflected shot had put the visitors ahead in the first half only for Jagielka to equalise just 97 seconds later.

After the break Everton pressed for a winner and Vellios headed in with six minutes remaining before Drenthe clincheit deep into injury time
