Young Says Sorry

Luke Young has apologised to the QPR fans who turned out in their numbers at Fulham eight days ago and witnessed Rangers lose heavily.
Despite the 6-0 scoreline, Young and his team-mates left the pitch at Craven Cottage to rapturous applause from the 3,000 travelling Hoops supporters, and the defender told www.qpr.co.uk: "I mentioned it to family members and friends.
"I said to them that if I was on the receiving end of a 6-0 defeat at some of my previous clubs, I'm not so sure the fans would have been singing and chanting like the QPR fans were.
"We just want to say sorry to them for all the money they shelled out to come to a London derby and lose like that.
"I know it was massively disappointing for them."
Young joined QPR during the summer transfer window from Aston Villa, and the 32-year-old has quickly become popular with the QPR fans by producing a series of solid performances.
"It's difficult to feel like you've done well when you're talking on the back of a 6-0 defeat!" he joked. "But I am pretty pleased with my first three games, and I am going to try and forget about the Fulham game, as we all are.
"We'll take the stuff out of it that we need to take out of it, but we aren't going to dwell on it. It was a bad day at the office for everyone and the sooner we can move on from it, the better."
This weekend the R's will be trying to do precisely that when they host Blackburn at Loftus Road.
QPR are yet to win in W12 this season but Young has been buoyed by two solid performances against Newcastle United and Aston Villa, which saw Rangers draw both games when their displays were worthy of more.
"Hopefully we can bounce back this weekend," he added.

"At home we have been playing good football without getting the wins. We've picked up a couple of draws but I felt that - particularly in the first halves - we really took it to our opposition.
"We will be playing the same way this weekend and if Blackburn come at us, it may help us to get in behind them."
Young and his team-mates will be hoping for more incredible backing by the R's supporters, and he added: "There are going to be ups and downs throughout this season but if they stick behind us like they have so far, hopefully they can spur us on to having a really good campaign."
